In addition to the routine services of spaying and neutering cats and dogs, we also perform orthopedic procedures and soft tissue surgeries. The morning of the procedure, our staff will discuss a variety of pre- and post-surgical options available to customize your pet’s care and needs. Each patient is maintained by inhalational anesthesia while their vital signs are monitored by the surgeon and technical staff using specialized electronic monitoring equipment.

Nutrition

An important step in maintaining the health of our animals is feeding a safe and balanced diet. Dietary requirements differ with age, activity level, breed, illness, and body condition scores. Our staff is knowledgeable and ready to help you decide what food is best for your pet. We carry a variety of maintenance and prescription diets from both Hill’s Science Diet and Purina ProPlan. Diet is one of the easiest variables to control in achieving ideal patient health; ask us which diet may be right for your pet.

Dentistry

Oral disease is the number one health problem among dogs and cats, with as many as 80 percent of pets having oral disease by age three. Regular dental cleanings not only alleviate your pet’s bad breath, but also allow us to remove tartar, identify and treat fractures, gingivitis, and periodontal disease. While under anesthesia, we perform a thorough oral examination, clean and polish the teeth, and treat with fluoride. Any dental extractions or minor oral surgery can be done at this time as well. We provide “Before & After” pictures so you can see the improvement to your pet’s smile.

Digital Radiology

Our digital radiology service provides us with high-quality images of what is going on inside your pet. With digital image processing, we are able to quickly adjust images to give us the best possible radiograph. We are able to easily share and review your pet’s radiographs with you, zooming in on trouble-spots to make diagnoses and treatment plans sooner.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is a non-invasive treatment option for a variety of disorders including: infection, soft tissue trauma, arthritis and joint pain, wounds, and post-operative pain. Our K-Laser system improves local circulation to deliver oxygen and remove waste products from tissue more rapidly. With more oxygen available to tissues, cells are able to produce more energy to promote faster healing.

In-House Laboratory

Our practice offers advanced in-house diagnostics to ensure rapid, accurate results. We offer comprehensive blood work options for surgical patients, sick visits, and monitoring purposes. The ability to obtain results quickly from a CBC, chemistry and electrolyte panel, or urinalysis allows us to better evaluate and treat your pets in one visit. For more advanced testing, our hospital is supported by Idexx Reference Laboratory.

Domestic and International Health Certificates

Are you planning on traveling within the USA, or internationally with your pet? As a federally accredited veterinary hospital, we can issue travel and acclimation certificates for your healthy pet so they can travel with you.

Bathing

Our baths are a complete spa treatment. During your pet’s day at the spa, we trim their nails, express anal glands, clean ears, bathe, blow dry and brush out their loose hair. We use an aloe and oatmeal shampoo and conditioner that is hypoallergenic and formulated to leave your pet’s coat healthy, soft and fresh.

Canine and Feline Boarding

Grandview Animal Hospital’s canine boarding facility offers twenty kennels ranging in size from 3x7ft to 5x7ft. During your dog’s staycation with us, they will be walked three times throughout the day and be able to enjoy one-on-one time with our kennel staff during their bathroom breaks. Our feline guests are boarded in our peaceful cat ward with window views from all kennels, away from noisy dogs for the most relaxing experience.

Grandview’s kennel staff is trained to carefully monitor your pet’s health while staying with us. If your pet isn’t feeling well, our veterinarians are available at all times to examine your pet and keep them safe and healthy.

Pharmacy & Pet Supplies

Our on-site pharmacy carries a large variety of medications for treating your pet and makes prescription refills easy. For your convenience, we carry a variety of products for grooming, nutritional supplements, treats, heartworm preventatives, as well as flea and tick control products. The selection of Animal Pharmaceutical grooming supplies include general and medicated shampoos, conditioners, ear cleaners and body sprays.
